If you feel strongly about gun control and the gun violence epidemic we’ve been suffering for too many years, then please join in having this gun-control themed feature film made!

WHY THIS FILM MATTERS
I’m afraid of guns. My first ever playmate who befriended me when I was 4 years old in kindergarten (an African-American boy named Gregory A__) was later as an adult shot and killed. His memory lingers within me forever.  Every day that the news reports another senseless gun killing agonizes me and propels me to do this film, as I’m sure many of us cannot accept the deplorable levels of gun violence as a Second Amendment fact of life.  We need to respond to the rich, powerful gun lobbying organizations and the politicians who support their Second Amendment fanaticism which has contributed to gun shootings and killings becoming an everyday event of little moment to them. Instead, their rabid response to gun shootings, i.e., “I’ll give you my gun when you take it from my cold dead hands” is met here with the repartee “you can’t take your gun to heaven” as an underlying message of this feature film.
This film uses a town hall setting to air out gun control and gun rights views. Gun control is so controversial and polarized that we don’t see either side discussing it at length civilly to each other, as viewpoints are minimized to mere soundbites. This film opens up this exchange of views in a thought-provoking, enlightening and amusing approach. In so airing out the views, the underlying concerns, premises and beliefs, particularly of gun supporters, are exposed, explored and self-analyzed with some degree of self-reflection, hopefully to ponder “I want to end up in heaven.” Still, we hope to leave both sides of the audience respecting each other’s views so we have an opportunity collaboratively to resolve key gun control issues.  This film is a comedy-drama, so that the gun control debate is entertaining with ample comic relief to complement the serious nature of the topic (and it’s also a sequel to the legal comedy feature film, Amoriental, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31854730/). In that vein, the movie’s tone is analogous to M.A.S.H., the TV sitcom “Scrubs” and various comedic war movies.
